About Me

I have been painting for several years, after having spent the bulk of my artistic life in the Ballet world! This has been a huge change but one that I am loving. My first love is painting with oils, and for the moment, landscape painting. I have had the good fortune to be taught by D'hange Yammanee - a master in teaching tones, atmospheric/tonal distance and composition. There is still much I have to learn from him.
In January 2014 unfortunately my husband and I lost our house in a huge bushfire in the hills in Perth - and along with it all my paintings and art equipment! For several years after this I was "regrouping" and quite frankly, rebuilding! Now I have a lovely large upstairs studio and have gathered together almost all that I previously lost. Also my style is developing further along impressionistic lines and I am enjoying painting more than ever.
I enter my art regularly in local exhibitions and have sold many through these outlets. Also I have undertaken quite a few commissions - both large and small. There is so much to learn still. It is more than one lifetime's work I think!!
